Requesting books online from EAL

Starting this week, the new catalogue (PRIMO) is ready for online requests of books from the East Asian Library. This service has been long practice in other library locations, but only after a few updates in the new catalogue, filling in forms at the service desk for most of the books in the EAL is no longer needed!

How to request your book?
Go to the new catalogue and request your books immediately. Just log in (in the top right corner) with your university name and password. (more…)

New Leiden catalogue : Primo

From November on, the Leiden University Libraries started using a new catalogue, a so called ‘discovery service’ called Primo. Primo, also referred to as the ‘new catalogue‘ (just ‘catalogue’ from 2012), lets you discover books and articles in an easier way. It will pull up all kinds of extra results provided by fulltext databases and other eresources available at Leiden University, so there are many fulltext journal articles and otherwise hidden results to be found.
